Your ferret is as susceptible to parasites such as fleas and mites as any other small animal. Flea bites, in particular, can become itchy and uncomfortable for your pet. They can even make their hair fall out in patches. If left untreated fleas can cause anaemia in ferrets as they suck out so much of the blood. As a small animal, a flea infestation can seriously impact upon your ferret. If you notice fleas on your ferret or flea dust, then treat as soon as possible. Our range of topical treatments suitable for small animals is an ideal way of ridding yourself of the infestation. Your ferret may also be bothered by ear mites and worms. The same treatments can rid your pet of mites and worms as well as fleas. Although ticks are uncommon in ferrets, if there are dogs and cats living in the house, it can be transmitted to your ferret. Luckily ticks can also be controlled by our topical treatments.
